Air Force Engineering Expert Joins AMEC

(San Antonio, TX "- August 20, 2002) Col. Scott E. Streifert, an environmental engineering professional with the U.S. Air Force for nearly 22 years, has joined the international engineering and services firm AMEC as Principal Engineer. Col. Streifert will operate from the company's Earth & Environmental office in San Antonio, but will serve clients worldwide wherever the need arises.

Col. Streifert recently retired from the Air Force as Support Group Commander at Travis Air Force Base in California. His past activities with the Air Force have included nationwide direction of environmental compliance and pollution prevention programs; extensive dealings from the Pentagon with Congress and governmental agencies relating to civil engineering and facility investment; environmental management at Kirtland Air Force Base in New Mexico and Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio, and civil engineering workforce management at Comiso Air Base in Sicily.

Col. Streifert, who has a Master's degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Colorado, also has served as Assistant Professor at the Air Force Institute of Technology School of Civil Engineering and Services.
