AMECs Denverarea offices join forces in larger location

Denver, Colorado, US (July 22, 2010 ) AMEC, the international engineering and project management company, announces today that its three Denver-area offices are consolidating into one larger office in the center of the metro Denver area.

The new office, which will be open for business on Monday, July 26, is located at Colorado Center Tower Two, 2000 S. Colorado Blvd. It will house personnel now located in the company's Englewood, Lakewood and current downtown Denver locations. The consolidation comes as a result of the acquisition of two local engineering firms "- Smith Williams Consultants and Geomatrix Consultants "- during the past two years.

The single location will further integrate and enhance the daily work flow of complementary services currently provided by each location. This will allow staff to better understand client needs and efficiently collaborate on a broader array of services.

AMEC's Earth & Environmental Division has about 100 professionals in Colorado who provide a wide range of engineering consulting services related to water resources, energy management, environmental restoration and remediation, geotechnical and geochemistry sciences, transportation, and hazard mitigation and emergency management planning, including dam break studies and levee assessment. Key client types include commercial (particularly mining), industry, and government, including federal agencies, municipalities and special districts.
