AMEC named as a Top Employer in Canada for the fourth successive year


London, United Kingdom (10 October 2012) "- AMEC, the international
engineering andCanadian 100 employer project management company, is honoured to announce that it has been named one of Canada's Top 100 Employers for 2013.

Now entering its 13th year, the national competition aims to determine which employers lead their industries in offering exceptional workplaces for their employees. This is the fourth year in succession that AMEC has received this honour.

"The skills of the 7,200 employees in Canada are highly valued by our customers, and in particular their ability to deliver complex projects safely, on time and on budget," said Will Serle, AMEC Group Human Resources Director. Several of AMEC's leading initiatives have been listed in the detailed reasons for selection, published on the Canadian job search website, Highlighted among them is the company's extensive AMEC Academy, an in-house training and development program designed to help employees plan their career paths and develop the necessary skills to achieve their long term goals.

The Canada's Top 100 Employers competition is an editorial project organised by Mediacorp Canada Inc., a specialty publisher of employment guides and periodicals, that aims to identify the companies and organisations that lead their industries in attracting and retaining employees. Canada's Top 100 Employers are selected by an advisory board of people drawn from universities across Canada, each of whom have written or edited a major Canadian textbook on human resources. About 12,500 companies were invited to apply for the award.
