AMEC and DAI win EICs Award for Supply Chain Excellence 2014

Aberdeen, United Kingdom (17 October 2014) - AMEC, the international engineering and project management company, together with technology partner DAI, an independent British company delivering IT solutions throughout the world, were delighted last night to receive the prestigious EIC Award for Supply Chain Excellence 2014.

The Energy Industries Council (EIC) awards recognise member organisation that have demonstrated a superior level of supply chain performance.

AMEC has developed the Track & Trace system with its technology partner DAI, to identify and track materials across the supply chain, from the initial receipt at the warehouse to various onshore, offshore or third party work sites. The technology brings a fully integrated tracking system to the oil and gas industry, while project implementation has shown that Track & Trace can reduce wasted man-hours and additional costs to zero, making it a proven time and money saving innovation.

"Well done to all the team! This is a great result for both of our companies and a reward for our collaboration!" said Alick Watt, AMEC Operations Director.

"Having successfully deployed Matflo technology in other industry sectors, and witnessed the performance improvements achieved, DAI always held the belief that we could deliver similar benefit to the Oil & Gas Industry. Our thanks go to AMEC for wholeheartedly sharing that vision and taking it forward in what has been a truly collaborative engagement. This recognition from the EIC is such a fantastic endorsement of our partnership, and we are all truly delighted, said Colin Taylor, DAI Business"
